Pantheon 2019 User Conference

In just three years, ServiceTitan’s user conference Pantheon had grown from 250 to 2500 attendees and had taken over the entire Pasadena Convention Center.

Every year had a unique theme and visual approach that we wanted to resonate deeply with our customers. For 2019, the insight I had was how often I visited our customers and saw business or self-help books in their offices. These were the same books being read by start-up CEOs, in the hands of “plumbers”. I asked a customer I was friendly with why that was and he said, “Most of us started out as wrench-turning techs and now we’re owners and don’t think we’re very good at it. That’s what the books are for.”

So that idea of transformation became the theme, this idea that our customers had, through a lot of hard work and with ServiceTitan, had transformed themselves into millionaire business owners. I chose to represent that visually with metal, which starts as a fairly useless material pulled from the ground but with an enormous amount of stress and pressure can be amongst the strongest materials on Earth.

A user conference is a back-breaking amount of work. Every single piece of creative, written, or visual collateral was created by my in-house team and the event was planned by a tireless events crew. I still don’t know how we did it all.

Result: Many but the most notable was that we launched two Pro products at Pantheon 2019 and 60% of all licenses sold for the first two years happened on that day.
